Mentsuyu is just great for the summer. It is such a lovely and light sauce that just goes so well with Japanese noodle dishes such as somen and soba. There are a few companies producing mentsuyu so if you are not in Japan you would probably see major companiesf producing mentsuyu such as Kikkoman, Yamasa, Momoya and Yamaki.
